Towne voted to be president of ISCPA

Janice S. Towne of Mt. Pleasant has become the 2012-2013 president of the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants (ISCPA).

Towne is the owner of Riverview Financial Group PC, in Keosauqua.

Last year, she served as vice president of ISCPA.

On Friday, May 11, Towne emceed the morning educational session, which featured Keith E. Luchtel and Scott A. Sundstrom of Nyemaster Goode PC, in Des Moines.

At the afternoon annual business meeting, Towne and nearly 130 ISCPA members met to conduct business, elect officers and directors, present awards, and begin a new ISCPA year.

ISCPA represents approximately 4,300 CPAs who work in public accounting, business, industry, government, not-for-profit organizations and education.
