Tracy Lawrence show canceled, replaced with Clay Walker

Those wanting to see country star Tracy Lawrence will have to find another venue, as the singer has had to cancel his Midwest Old Threshers Reunion appearance due to a death in the family.

The Midwest Old Threshers Association was informed that country star Tracy Lawrence has cancelled his scheduled show on Sunday, Sept. 4 due to the death of his father.

In a press release Thursday, the Midwest Old Threshers organization stated they ?regret any inconvenience this schedule change will cause and sends their deepest condolences to Tracy Lawrence and his family.?

However, event goers will not be listening to crickets Sunday night, as Clay Walker has been booked to perform in Lawrence?s place. Walker is a multi-platinum country music artist with 11 No. 1 hits and two gold albums.

Those who have purchased reserved seats for the Lawrence show will have their tickets honored for the Clay Walker show. For those who wish to refund their reserved ticket seats, contact the Old Threshers office after the Reunion has finished.

Grandstand music entertainment begins at 8 p.m., each evening, rain or shine.

Musical entertainment will begin tonight (Thurs) with Country Gold, featuring Leroy Van Dyke, Mandy Barnett, T. Graham Brown and Steve and Rudy Gatlin. Eric Paslay and guest Highvalley will perform on Friday, Sept. 2. Jackson Michelson will open for Kellie Pickler on Saturday and Clay Walker will round out the grandstand entertainment on Sunday.
