A bank of dark, threatening storm clouds in the northwest provided a dramatic backdrop for Pam Craff, right, and Mike Gearheart as they planted a couple of trees on Second Street this morning. Storms threaten in the southern part of the state with a temperature of 68 degrees in Fairfield at 11 a.m., while in the north freezing rain is occurring.
