Trojan JV whips WB

On Tuesday, Brian Witzenburg?s Fairfield Trojan JV girls? basketball team whipped West Branch 52-18. Ashley Bloomquist led the Trojans with 14 points, Shaylin Drish scored 11 points and Malory Jones had eight. Also for Fairfield, Destiny Gridley scored six points, Jillian Dunlap had three and Darby Kaska, Blair Bowman, Kara Jeffrey, Rachel Thomas and Allison Rebling had two apiece. On Thursday, the Trojans blasted Burlington Notre Dame, upping their record to 16-0.

?Our hustle is what?s keeping us undefeated,? Drish said.

?We have a lot of good shooters, which helps us,? Gridley said. ?Coach is very intense and that helps us win, too. He likes when we keep taking good shots. And he likes us to win.?
