Tuesday collision damages two vehicles

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office reported a two-vehicle accident at about 4:15 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Old Highway 34 west of Mt. Pleasant.

According to the report, an investigation determined that 52-year-old Todd Christner, driving a 2017 Chevrolet Express, collided with 30-year-old Keith Dugger, driving a 2005 Ford Ranger.

Dugger was southbound on Franklin when Christner failed to stop at the stop sign on Old Highway 34 and collided with Dugger’s truck. The collision resulted in severe damage to the vehicles which were towed. No injuries were reported.

The sheriff’s report said Christner was cited for failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way. He also was cited for having dark tinted windows.
