NEW LONDON ? Two New London residents were arrested Wednesday following a search warrant being executed at their residence.
Cigi Bowman, 24, and Trevor Mulligan, 22, both of New London, were arrested for a slew of offenses, including prostitution and possession of narcotics.
According to a police report, the Henry County Sheriff?s Office and the New London Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence at 401 N. Poplar St. in New London.
The search warrant stemmed from a joint narcotics investigation and information regarding prostitution taking place at the residence.
Bowman was arrested and charged with prostitution, an aggravated misdemeanor; gathering where controlled substances are unlawfully used, a Class D felony; three counts of second or subsequent possession of controlled substances (marijuana, crack cocaine and methamphetamine), all Class D felonies; and accessory after the fact, an aggravated misdemeanor.
Mulligan was arrested and charged with gathering where controlled substances are unlawfully used, a serious misdemeanor and possession of Marijuana with intent to deliver, a Class D felony. Mulligan was also on probation at the time of the arrest and did have an active arrest warrant for eluding his probation.
This is the second narcotics search warrant executed at this residence in the past 10 months. A previous search warrant was conducted on May 30, 2014, where Bowman and other occupants were found manufacturing methamphetamine.
Bowman and Mulligan are currently being held on bond at the Henry County Jail.
The Sheriff?s Office was also assisted by the Henry County Probation and Parole and the Iowa DNR during the investigation and execution of the search warrant. Further probation charges are expected for each individual.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
