Two county residents face narcotics charges
Two county residents were arrested Tuesday, Aug. 25, as a result of a joint narcotics investigation between three law enforcement agencies.
Earl Griffin, 30, Mt. Pleasant, was arrested and charged with class D felony possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and class D felony drug tax stamp violation.
Tosha Nichols, 27, Mt. Pleasant, faces the same felony charges as Griffin.

Two county residents were arrested Tuesday, Aug. 25, as a result of a joint narcotics investigation between three law enforcement agencies.
Earl Griffin, 30, Mt. Pleasant, was arrested and charged with class D felony possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and class D felony drug tax stamp violation.
Tosha Nichols, 27, Mt. Pleasant, faces the same felony charges as Griffin.
The Henry County Sheriff?s Office, the Mt. Pleasant and New London Police departments conducted the search warrant at 1679 Wapello Drive, Mt. Pleasant.
Marijuana, U.S. currency and other items indicating drug distribution were seized at the residence.
Griffin and Nichols are being held at the Henry County Jail. Bond for each was set at $10,000.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
