Two die in Mt. Pleasant house fire
Two people died Monday in a Mt. Pleasant house fire.
The call came in about 3:30 a.m. of a house on fire in the 1100 block of North Redbud Lane. Mt. Pleasant police and the fire department responding, finding the home fully engulfed in flames.
While extinguishing the fire, firefighters found the bodies of two people inside the home. Firefighters and utility crews were on the scene throughout the day.
No further details were released. Investigators with the State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Division of Criminal Investigation are assisting with the investigation.
