Two Fairfield Castings workers burned Tuesday
Two male employees of Fairfield Castings were transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Tuesday afternoon for burns they received at work.

Two male employees of Fairfield Castings were transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Tuesday afternoon for burns they received at work.
Fairfield Police Capt. David Thomas said the police did not investigate the matter because it was not criminal in nature but the dispatchers sent ambulances to the scene to transport the men first to the Jefferson County Health Center and then to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
The incident occurred at about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Jefferson County Health Center requested AirCare but AirCare reported it could not fly because of the dense fog.
