Two men face charges following New London incident

Two Mt. Pleasant men were arrested at 12:12 a.m., on Monday, Aug. 15, in New London following the report of a disturbance and the discharging of fireworks.

Tyler Billingsley, 24, and Bryce Bowman, 18, were arrested on the 500 block of North Division Street.

Billingsley was charged with two misdemeanors ? disorderly conduct and unlawful possession of fireworks, and public intoxication-second offense, a serious misdemeanor.

Bowman faces charges on four misdemeanors ? interference with official acts, disorderly conduct, possession of alcohol under legal age, and public intoxication, second offense, a serious misdemeanor.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
