Two people hospitalized following collision

Two motorists were taken Thursday, Aug. 4, to the Henry County Health Center following a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Jefferson Street and Yocum Lane, in Mt. Pleasant.

Mt. Pleasant Police report Joshua Morse, of Burlington, was driving a 2004 Ford northbound when the vehicle crossed over into the southbound lane and collided with a 2005 Dodge, driven by Rhonda McClure, of Mt. Pleasant.

McClure was trapped in her vehicle and Mt. Pleasant Fire and Rescue was called to the scene to free her.

Morse was charged with driving while barred, failure to maintain control and no proof of valid insurance.

Both vehicles appeared to be totaled, and Breuer?s Towing removed the vehicles from the scene.
