Two suspected of stealing credit card data
Jun. 6, 2021 2:40 pm
Mt. Pleasant police are looking for two men suspected of installing three credit card skimmers at a gas station.
Police Chief Lyle Murray said following the seizure of the skimmers, local banks were notified.
Two men are suspected of using the credit card data captured by the skimmers.
Murray released photos of the two. He said they were driving a dark-colored Mercedes-Benz GLS.
“It is not known who the male subjects are or if they stayed in the surrounding area,” Murray said. “Local banks have been great in providing illegal transactions on the cloned cards to law enforcement.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Mt. Pleasant police in regards to identifying the subjects.
