Two vehicle-deer mishaps reported
Henry County Sheriff?s Office has investigated a pair of vehicle-deer accidents in recent days.
The office responded to a call north of Mt. Pleasant on Nov. 30. According to the report, Joshua Edgington, of New London, reported hitting a deer in the 2000 grid of Iowa Avenue with the vehicle he was driving.
Damage was estimated at $3,000 to Edgington?s vehicle and no injuries were reported.

Henry County Sheriff?s Office has investigated a pair of vehicle-deer accidents in recent days.
The office responded to a call north of Mt. Pleasant on Nov. 30. According to the report, Joshua Edgington, of New London, reported hitting a deer in the 2000 grid of Iowa Avenue with the vehicle he was driving.
Damage was estimated at $3,000 to Edgington?s vehicle and no injuries were reported.
Deputies also investigated a vehicle-deer accident on Nov. 28, in the 400 block of S. Main St., in Salem. A vehicle operated by Jacob Smith, of Mt. Pleasant, was traveling north when a deer entered the roadway. Smith swerved to miss the animal, causing the vehicle to run off the roadway into the ditch, striking a nearby road sign.
There were no injuries in the accident.
