WASHINGTON — The United Presbyterian Home has announced new roles for two of its top leaders. In a news release June 25, the retirement community said its CEO, Erin Drahota, would in July become its director of finance and operations, a new position at the home. Meanwhile, Director of Relations Amy Kleese will become UP Home’s new CEO. Both changes are effective this month, according to the news release.
UP Home’s previous organizational setup tasked the CEO with both strategic leadership and financial duties, according the news release. That’s set to change moving forward, however.
“As the CEO, together with our talented team, I am confident we will continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents and in the communities we serve,” Kleese said. “I am genuinely excited about the journey ahead and look forward to working closely with each employee to drive our mission forward.”
Kleese has a long history at the retirement community, where she started as Wellness and Fitness Director in 1999. She obtained a Nursing Home Administrator’s license in 2014, and in 2022 started as Relations Director.
Drahota became CEO in 2018, a decade after she started working at UP Home full time. She said she was optimistic about the new setup as well.
“I am excited to really focus my energy and experience at the UP Home into this new role. The UP Home has been part of my family for nearly 20 years and I sincerely look forward to the work Amy & I will continue to do alongside the rest of our team.”
