Utility trustees to consider metering variance

Trustees of Mt. Pleasant Municipal Utilities will meet in special session on Friday, April 8, at 12:45 p.m., to review and consider a variance request.

Hobart Historic Preservation is requesting a variance associated with the installation requirements of individual customer water metering equipment, as outlined within a Mt. Pleasant Municipal Utilities? resolution.

Hobart is seeking installation of a singular customer water metering system for the purpose of metering water service to a multi-occupancy apartment building located at 100 N. Main St. (former Brazelton Hotel).

Other agenda items include the development of a variance authorization agreement between Hobart Historic Restoration and Mt. Pleasant Municipal Utilities, outlining the specific terms and conditions of the proposed singular customer water metering system operating agreement.

Finally, the board will consider a resolution approving the aforementioned agreement between the parties, stipulating the specific terms and conditions associated with the proposed agreement.
