Van Buren blasts Rockets
FARMINGTON ? Van Buren?s winning streak ballooned to 12 games with a five-inning, 13-0 shutout of neighboring school Harmony in Southeast Iowa Superconference play Monday.
Nic Giberson and Elliott Remick combined to pitch the five-inning shutout. Giberson struck out six Rockets and surrendered three hits in the first four innings, and Remick tossed the final inning, fanning one and allowing one hit.

Leading the Warriors from the plate was Jacob Wolf, who drove in four runs on a double and triple. Ty Smith and Mitchell Bartholomew both ended up 2 for 3.
The eighth-ranked Warriors (16-1, 10-0 SEISC south) host Danville today.
