Van Buren, Cardinal run at Panther Relays
MOUNT PLEASANT ? Van Buren finished seventh and Cardinal took 10th in the small school standings of Tuesday?s Panther Relays in Mount Pleasant.
Junior Unity Daugherty was the top finisher for Van Buren, which ended up with 38 points. Daugherty opened the night placing second in the 3000-meter run (11:44), and later finished second in the 1500 (5:38) to score nearly half her team?s points.

MOUNT PLEASANT ? Van Buren finished seventh and Cardinal took 10th in the small school standings of Tuesday?s Panther Relays in Mount Pleasant.
Junior Unity Daugherty was the top finisher for Van Buren, which ended up with 38 points. Daugherty opened the night placing second in the 3000-meter run (11:44), and later finished second in the 1500 (5:38) to score nearly half her team?s points.
Hanna Haynes also contributed a pair of top-three finishes for Van Buren. Haynes finished second in the 100-meter hurdles (16.73) and third in the long jump (15? 4.75?).
Cardinal had a trio of third-place finishes to finish 16 points behind Van Buren with 22.
Lindsay Albert, a Comet senior, earned bronze in the 200-meter dash, finishing in 28.66 seconds. Albert also was on the third-place sprint medley relay with Alexis Adam, Carlie Bennett and Alexis Engle (2:08.04).
Cardinal?s 4x100 of Adam, Alexis Fullenkamp, Delaney Ridgway and Danielle Wycoff posted a time of 1:17.50 for third.
