Van Buren primary election results listed

KEOSAUQUA ? The Van Buren County Auditor?s Office has released the unofficial vote totals for the primary election held Tuesday.

On the Republican ballot:

Van Buren County supervisor ? Ted Nixon, 486; Mark Meek, 363; Gary Adam, 336; Ken Burns, 296; Robert V. Waugh, 230; Jon Jeffers, 203; Mike Goehring, 157; Joyce Kirkhart, 142. According to auditor Jon Finney, two candidates are to be nominated. Nixon met the minimum number required to be nominated at this election, but the other nominee will be chosen by the Republican County Convention.

County treasurer ? Tanya McQuoid, 990.

County recorder ? Glenice Graber, 954.

County attorney ? H. Craig Miller, 926.

Governor ? Bob Vander Plaats, 682; Terry Branstad, 465; and Rod Roberts, 56.

Secretary of state ? Matt Schultz, 442; Chris Sanger, 282; and George Eichhorn, 140.

Auditor of state ? David Vaudt, 827.

Treasurer of state ? David Jamison, 573; James Heavens, 256.

Secretary of agriculture ? Bill Northey, 883.

Attorney general ? Brenna Findley, 845.

State senator, District 45 ? Sandra Greiner, 482; Randy Besick, 467; Rick Marlar, 140.

State representative, District 90 ? Stephen Burgmeier, 932.

U.S. senator ? Chuck Grassley, 1,001.

U.S. representative, District 2 ? Mariannette Miller-Meeks, 716; Christopher Reed, 176; Steven Rathje, 151; and Rob Gettemy, 76.

On the Democratic ballot:
