Vehicle rear-ended on Highway 218 Wednesday

On Wednesday at approximately 5:58 p.m., the Henry County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a motor vehicle crash involving two vehicles with injuries at the intersection of Highway 218 and 170th Street.
Deputies and Henry County Ambulance responded to the location.
Upon investigation, Jeremy Oppman, 36, of Mt. Pleasant, was driving a Chevrolet Silverado truck and rear-ended the vehicle in front of him, a Ford Taurus being driven by Amy Hart, 42, of Mt. Pleasant.
Hart complained of minor pain but refused transport by medical staff.
Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were able to be driven from the scene.
Oppman was cited for following too close, according to a sheriff’s report.
