Vehicle totaled following accident
Mt. Pleasant Police Department officers responded to a two-vehicle accident on Monday, Dec. 7, at the intersection of Winfield and Grand Avenues.
The police?s investigation determined that a semi pulling a trailer, driven by Aleksey Isayev, of Wheeling, Ill., was southbound on Grand Avenue and ran the flashing red light at the intersection. Isayev?s semi struck a Buick Enclave, driven by Kelley Tabatha, of Mt. ...

Mt. Pleasant Police Department officers responded to a two-vehicle accident on Monday, Dec. 7, at the intersection of Winfield and Grand Avenues.
The police?s investigation determined that a semi pulling a trailer, driven by Aleksey Isayev, of Wheeling, Ill., was southbound on Grand Avenue and ran the flashing red light at the intersection. Isayev?s semi struck a Buick Enclave, driven by Kelley Tabatha, of Mt. Pleasant. The Buick was estimated to be a total loss.
There were no injuries reported at the scene. Isayev was cited for failure to obey a flashing red signal.
Mt. Pleasant police were assisted in the investigation at the scene by the Henry County Sheriff?s Office.
