Vehicles crash at Grand and Washington intersection
The Mt. Pleasant Police Department investigated a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Washington Street and Grand Avenue Oct. 18 at approximately 9:30 a.m.

The Mt. Pleasant Police Department investigated a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Washington Street and Grand Avenue Oct. 18 at approximately 9:30 a.m.
It was determined that a black 2000 Chevrolet Blazer, owned and operated by Tracy Vaughn of Mt. Pleasant, was attempting to turn left onto East Washington from Grand Avenue. The Vaughn vehicle was then struck by an eastbound Dickey Transport Tractor Trailer.
Michael Tschudy of Hedrick was driving the tractor trailer.
Tschudy failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection and hit the Blazer.
The Vaughn vehicle sustained an estimated $4,000 in damages while the tractor trailer had approximately $3,000 in damages.
No injuries were reported at the scene. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
Tschudy was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.
