Vehicles roll on Highway 218

AINSWORTH - Two rollovers took place within 30 minutes of each other on Highway 218 on Monday as snow fell.

At 11 a.m. on Monday, a woman reported rolling her vehicle in the median of Highway 218 hear Highway 92, according to the Washington Communications Center.

The woman was unable to move her back, and there were two individuals trapped.

Ainsworth Fire, Ainsworth Quick Response Service, Washington Rescue and a Washington County Ambulance.

The ambulance transported one individual to the emergency room, according to the release.

At 11:29 a.m., another rollover was reported north of exit 80.

Riverside Fire, Riverside Quick Response Service and a Washington County Ambulance responded.

One individual was transported to the University of Iowa Hospital, according to the release.

Five minutes after the second accident was reported, an accident happened a quarter mile south of the second accident. There were no injuries, according to the release.
