Velna Irene Paxton, 89, of Packwood, died at 12:50 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at SunnyBrook Living Care Center in Fairfield.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. The body has been cremated. Burial will be in Packwood Cemetery.
Arrangements are in the care of Gould Funeral Home in Richland.

Mrs. Paxton was born Jan. 21, 1921, in Nugent, the daughter of William and Olga Fauth Wallerich. She married Eddie Harlan Paxton July 3, 1939, in Lancaster, Mo. He died March 14, 1988.
