Vera Pauline Ward

Vera Pauline Ward, 89, formerly of Fairfield and Ollie, died Thursday, October 21, 2010, at the Manor House Care Center in Sigourney. She was born on July 16, 1921, at Richland, Iowa, the daughter of Leo and Leona Frederick Oswalt. On September 1, 1940, she was united in marriage to Darrell E. Ward at Sigourney. Darrell died November 25, 1996.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 23, 2010, at 10:30 A.M. in the Prairie View United Methodist Church near Ollie, with Reverend David Peterson officiating. Burial will be in the Ollie Cemetery. The Fremont Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service. The family will be present to greet friends and relatives at that time. Memorials may be made to the Prairie View United Methodist Church.
