Virginia Lee Nellor, 92, of Burlington, died Thursday, June 14, 2018, in Mt. Pleasant.
Born June 16, 1925, she was the daughter of Carl Edwin and Dorothy Anna Bertrem Peterson. On March 30, 1947, she married Alfred Charles Nellor.
Virginia worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company, and for the Burlington Community High School.
She graduated from East High in 1943.

Virginia Lee Nellor, 92, of Burlington, died Thursday, June 14, 2018, in Mt. Pleasant.
Born June 16, 1925, she was the daughter of Carl Edwin and Dorothy Anna Bertrem Peterson. On March 30, 1947, she married Alfred Charles Nellor.
Virginia worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company, and for the Burlington Community High School.
She graduated from East High in 1943.
She was a Charter Member of the Mickey Mouse Club and a Girl Scout leader. She belonged to a bridge club, loved to travel and bring gifts for her family, made the best root beer floats and always had candy for the kids. She was a seamstress and enjoyed making things for her grandchildren. She always had curly hair. Virginia loved seeing everyone family reunions.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Dennis (Kathy) Nellor; two daughters, Dorene (Roy) Jennings, and Debora (Eric) Edmunds; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one half-sister, Joyce Cox; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Betty Shivers; her Aunt Lucile Haines; and one half-sister, Joanne.
The memorial service for Virginia will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home with Stan Smelser officiating.
