Visit Fairfield Convention and Visitors Bureau has announced the launch of its new website dedicated to art and entertainment events in Fairfield and Jefferson County.
With support from the City of Fairfield and the Greater Jefferson County Foundation, this website, www.fairfield365.com, will connect local event organizers and attendees alike, making it easier than ever to find out what’s going on in town.
The website makes it easy for the public to discover, plan, and participate in a wide array of events that cater to their interests and preferences. Events are searchable by multiple categories, such as art & entertainment events, sports, workshops, kids’ activities, and more. The public will not only be able to access activities, each event can be saved to a personal calendar and shared on social media.
The idea for this comprehensive site came about after a visioning session conducted by Visit Fairfield last November. Visit Fairfield took on this project because of its dedication to promoting local tourism and fostering community engagement. As the driving force behind tourism initiatives in Fairfield, the Visit Fairfield CVB understands the vital role that events play in creating a thriving and cohesive community.
“A centralized event calendar was been a priority among local residents” said Visit Fairfield Executive Director Terry Baker. “This website is a great way for us, as a tourism office, to nurture the local events ecosystem and invite residents & visitors to enjoy the enriching experiences that Fairfield & the surrounding area have to offer.”
In addition to events, the website will feature a directory of venues & organizations in town as well as an artist directory where artists, musicians, performers, etc. can create profiles. Event organizers, organizations, artists, and venues are invited to register on the site at no charge, enabling them to access the tools needed to post their events and information.
The site launches to the public on Tuesday, Aug 1.
