Visitation, Celebration of Life announced for fallen Wayland teen

WAYLAND - The WACO Community School District has shared an update in light of Kyler Rugg’s unfortunate passing. In a message from Superintendent Spencer Lueders, the dates for visitation and a celebration of life have been announced.
Visitation will be on Friday, Feb. 20, from 3-8 p.m, at the WACO High School’s main gymnasium, at 706 N. Pearl Street in Wayland. According to his obituary, after visitation, Rugg’s remains will be cremated.
A Celebration of Life will come on Saturday, May 23, from 1-4 p.m., at the Eichelberger Main Office, also in Wayland.

Lueders offered additional support for students going through the grieving process.
“If your child could benefit from additional support during this time, please know we are here for you,” he said. “We encourage you to reach out to the school at any time. Our counselors and staff are available to listen and support your child whenever needed.”
