Visitors bureau produces new Fairfield Visitor’s Guide
Nov. 23, 2021 8:19 am
The Fairfield Convention & Visitors Bureau (Visit Fairfield) has produced a new Fairfield Visitor’s Guide now available for both visitors and residents.
The Fairfield Visitor’s Guide, titled the “Vibe Guide,” was recently unveiled to tourism partners and city leaders. The guide is a larger format than previous guides with new stories highlighting Fairfield’s art scene, Carnegie Historical Museum, quaint shops, local food scene, and other hidden gems.
“Visitors always comment about the different ‘vibe’ in Fairfield, and we wanted to be sure that this guide highlighted many of the activities and culture in the community,” said Terry Baker, Visit Fairfield’s executive director. “Our goal was also to make the guide accessible to our locals and be something they can display proudly at their businesses or send to a friend. We took a storytelling approach to the guide and hope everyone will find something new or exciting they want to check out from reading the guide.”
The front cover of the Vibe Guide features a photo of Volition Skate Co. owners Jen Kranz and Kate Vigmostad, which sets the tone for the publication. Inside, readers will find information on Fairfield’s history, a feature on Fishback & Stephenson’s Cider House and a list of “must-do” activities.
The guide will be available to all local businesses and at Fairfield hotels for visitors. The Fairfield CVB also will use the guide at leisure and meeting trade shows, as well as at yearly festivals.
The Fairfield Visitors Guide will be published annually and can be downloaded on the CVB’s website at www.visitfairfieldiowa.com. Hard copies can be found at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center and can also be mailed upon request.
Baker can be reached via email at director@visitfairfieldiowa.com, and via phone at 641-472-2828.
