Voter registration deadline Oct. 18
Oct. 6, 2021 10:19 am
If you are not already registered to vote or if your address has recently changed, the deadline to preregister for the Nov. 2 city/school election to be held in Washington County, is Monday, Oct. 18 at 5 p.m. Mailed voter registrations must also be postmarked no later than that date.
Alternatively, any person who is eligible to vote may register in-person on Election Day by completing a voter registration application, making written oath, and providing proof of both identity and residence.
Individuals who are currently registered to vote in Washington County, and who have moved within the county, may change their address at the polls on Election Day with proper identification and residency documentation. However, registration on or before Oct. 18 is strongly encouraged to avoid delays at the polling place.
Residents of Washington County may register at the County Auditor’s Office at the Courthouse in Washington or any driver’s license station.
The County Auditor’s Office is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 18.
Questions should be directed to the Washington County Auditor’s Office, at 319-653-7717.
