Plans are underway for the next W.A.G.G. (Winfield Area Grateful Gathering) event to be hosted by the First Presbyterian Church in Winfield Sunday, April 27 at 3 p.m. The April W.A.G.G. event welcomes the Hemsworth family, John, Mandy, Celia, Ben and Gabe.
This talented family will be sharing their love of the Lord through music and testimony. There will be a freewill offering collected. Following their concert, there will be time for refreshments and fellowship in the church fellowship hall downstairs.
John and Mandy have always been active with singing and theater through college as well as their first years of marriage. In 2007 they began singing together as a family group called the Tinders. They traveled and sang at various nursing homes, at Old Threshers in the family tent, and at a number of other venues.
John and Mandy were the worship leaders at the New London Christian Church from 2010-2024, where Celia, Ben, and Gabe all participated by playing everything including the bass, to the djembe, the mandolin and the acoustic guitar.
Celia is currently a high school English teacher and coaches track, but still finds time to play her bass with the worship team at Grace, in Mason City. Ben and Gabe recently competed in the Bill Riley Talent Show where they made it all the way to the finals! They are now playing at farmers markets and various venues throughout Iowa as the “Hemsworth Brothers.” Check them out on social media!
Be sure to mark your calendars for Sunday afternoon at the Winfield First Presbyterian Church and join us for an afternoon of inspiration and fellowship.
