W-MU football falls in close contest against Danville
DANVILLE ? The W-MU football team scored its first points of the season in the form of four touchdowns against Danville, but still fell to the Bears on Friday, 31-28.
Quarterback Max Fricke rushed for 175 yards in 21 attempts and all four touchdowns for the Wolves on the night.
Conner Shellabarger carried the ball 30 times for 214 yards to lead the Wolves in that category.

DANVILLE ? The W-MU football team scored its first points of the season in the form of four touchdowns against Danville, but still fell to the Bears on Friday, 31-28.
Quarterback Max Fricke rushed for 175 yards in 21 attempts and all four touchdowns for the Wolves on the night.
Conner Shellabarger carried the ball 30 times for 214 yards to lead the Wolves in that category.
Fricke was one-for-three for 28 yards passing. The only completion on the night landed in the hands of Kolt Rossiter.
On defense, W-MU was led by Kyle Davis with seven tackles, four solo. Fricke and Rossiter also had four solo tackles each; Rossiter finished with five total tackles on the night. Thayne McElhinney also had five total tackles, and Jacob Arnold had six.
The Wolves are now 0-3. The game against Danville was their first district contest of the seaosn.
Next up for W-MU is another road game. They will travel to Riverside to play Highland (2-1) on Friday.
