W-MU golf defeats Lone Tree
WINFIELD ? The Winfield-Mt. Union golf teams hosted Lone Tree at the Twin Lakes Golf Club yesterday afternoon, and the Wolves won the meet on both the boys? and girls? sides.
The W-MU boys were led by co-medalists Jake Edwards and Brody Heying, both of whom shot a 39. Klayton Booth scored a 42 for the Wolves, and Eric Spencer had a 45 for the team total of 165.
The Lone Tree boys? scored 202 as a team.

Also golfing for the W-MU boys was Lucas Rappenecker, who shot a 49, and Thayne McElhinney, who shot a 58.
On the girls? side, Kassidy McLaughlin was the medalist with a career-low score of 47. She was followed by Grace Edwards with a 56, Lauren Baker with a 57 and Tori Brandmeyer with a 58 for a team toal of 218.
The Lone Tree girls scored 239.
Also golfing for the W-MU girls was Rachel Anderson with a 61 and Kelsie Wade, who shot a 63.
The Wolves will take the course again on Monday when they host Wapello, starting at 4 p.m.
