Winfield-Mt. Union?s Cecilia Hemsworth, above, performs a solo in the first of three jazz band selections performed at the Southeast Iowa Bandmasters Association District Jazz Festival held at Iowa City West High School, in Iowa City, on Saturday, March 5. The Winfield Mt. Union band placed second and qualified for the state jazz festival in Des Moines for the sixth straight year. The 2016 Iowa Jazz Championships is to be held in Des Moines in April.
