WACO School Board approves carpet update

WAYLAND ? WACO High School will be receiving new carpeting after the school board unanimously approved the installation in two areas within the school.

During a school board meeting on Monday, April 16, board members approved purchasing and installing new carpet throughout the high school. The bid from Bruty?s Carpet Corner of $12,197.71 was unanimously approved. Board members also approved the purchase of carpet tiles for the gym floor from BSN Sports for $11,521.29.

In other business, board members also approved the list of seniors to graduate in May, pending the completion of all requirements. Graduation will be held on Sunday, May 20.

Members of the school board also approved the 2018-19 WEA Collective Bargaining Agreement at 1.96 percent.

The next meeting of the WACO School Board will be held on Monday, May 21, at 6:30 p.m.
