WACO swept by Mediapolis
MEDIAPOLIS ? The WACO basketball teams lost a pair of Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division games against Mediapolis on Tuesday night.
The Warrior boys fell by a score of 60-47, and the WACO girls were downed, 74-30, by the Class 3A No. 9 Bullettes.

MEDIAPOLIS ? The WACO basketball teams lost a pair of Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division games against Mediapolis on Tuesday night.
The Warrior boys fell by a score of 60-47, and the WACO girls were downed, 74-30, by the Class 3A No. 9 Bullettes.
In the boys? game, WACO (5-11 overall, 5-9 SEISC North) scored in double figures in every quarter, including a 17-point final quarter, but it wasn?t enough to top the Bulldogs.
Tyler Ayers and Aaron Barnhart had 15 points each to lead the Tigers and Barnhart pulled down eight rebounds.
In the girls? game, the Warriors (6-12 overall, 5-11 SEISC North) outscored Mediapolis in the third quarter, but the Bullettes had the upper hand in the first, second and fourth quarters to grab a win.
Stats for the WACO girls were not available at press time.
The Warriors will play again on Friday night when they travel to Columbus to take on another SEISC North opponent. The girls play at 6 p.m., followed by the boys.
