WACO swept by Pekin
The WACO girls? and boys? basketball teams fell in a pair of games against Pekin on Thursday night. The Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division games were rescheduled from Dec. 21.
The Warrior boys (4-8 overall, 4-6 SEISC North) lost by a score of 57-53 in overtime and the girls (5-9 overall, 4-8 SEISC North) dropped a 42-36 decision.

The Warrior boys (4-8 overall, 4-6 SEISC North) lost by a score of 57-53 in overtime and the girls (5-9 overall, 4-8 SEISC North) dropped a 42-36 decision.
Tyler Ayers had a team-high 15 points for the WACO boys, while Klinton Garrett scored 12 points and Aaron Barnhart chipped in 10.
In the girls? game, Jalyssa Jepson and Erika Leichty scored in double figures with 10 points apiece.
The Warriors will play again tonight (Friday) when they host Winfield-Mt. Union, starting with the girls? game at 6 p.m.
