This year's WACO C.R.O.P. Drive 2024 will be taking place from Oct. 6 to Nov. 3 with a goal of reaching $35,000. C.R.O.P. (Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty) provides funds for those who need it most, both around the world and here at home.
C.R.O.P. is under the auspices of Church World Service, which was founded in 1946 and is a cooperative ministry of 37 Christian denominations and communions, providing sustainable self-help, development, disaster relief, and refugee assistance around the world. The CWS mission is to eradicate hunger and poverty and to promote peace and justice at the national and international level through collaboration with partners abroad and in the US.
Local C.R.O.P. Canvassers will be contacting persons in each of their WACO area districts, collecting monetary donations and/or crops, such as corn and soybeans.
Once again, 25% of proceeds will be used within the WACO Community. The WACO Ministerial Association oversees distributions, with funds going to the WACO Food Pantry Program and more. Please give generously when contacted by a C.R.O.P. Canvasser.
