Washington Elementary School students and adult volunteers wearing reflective vests walk from the high school to Washington Elementary School Wednesday morning in the first iteration of a ?walking school bus.? Volunteers will escort students to school on Wednesdays this fall before winter arrives, and then will start again in the spring. Members of the walking school bus even received a police escort to help them cross busy Burlington Avenue, pictured here.
