Walmart Foundation announces grant recipients
The Walmart Foundation announced its 2013 Local Giving grant recipients for a total of $36,700 on Oct. 24.

The Walmart Foundation announced its 2013 Local Giving grant recipients for a total of $36,700 on Oct. 24.
The grants were provided upon the recommendation of the local Distribution Center/Transportation Office after its review of the needs in southeast Iowa, western Illinois and northern Missouri. The grants will provide a vast array of opportunities for a number of worthwhile organizations.
The grant recipients were Canton, Mo. School District; Dallas City, Ill. Elementary School; Henry County Sheriff?s Office; Hope Haven Area Development Center; Iowa Veteran?s Home; Main Street Mt. Pleasant; Mississippi Valley Boy Scout Council; Mt. Pleasant Fire Department; New London Fire Department; Meskwaki Settlement School; Special Olympics of Iowa; Holy Trinity Jr./Sr. Catholic High School; Toys for Tots; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2561; Winfield-Mt. Union Community School District and Wayland Volunteer Fire Department.
