WINFIELD — Tim Johnson, Wapello’s Methodist Church minster will speak at the July WAGG (Winfield Area Grateful Gathering) Event Saturday, July 27, at 6 p.m. in Winfield’s First Presbyterian Church.
Pastor Johnson has family ties with Winfield, as his parents Ben and Pam Johnson have resided in town for several years. He and his wife, Cindy, live in Wapello with their son, Clyde. Tim began his ministry at the Wapello church in April of 2022 and has been involved in ministry for over 20 years.
Johnson has also worked at Washington’s United Methodist Church as well as the Salvation Army for Washington County. Tim serves as the Louisa County Ministerial Association chair, the chaplain for the Louisa County Sheriff’s Department, and is a member of the Auxiliary VFW in Wapello.
Pastor Johnson is passionate about sharing the love of Jesus with everyone he meets, using words when necessary. It has been said that he has a laid-back personality and “doesn’t sweat the small stuff,” realizing that God is in control. Tim loves to challenge individuals to allow their faith to grow, no matter what age, and deepen their relationship with God through praying daily, spending time in Scripture and listening to God when He is speaking.
All are welcome to join us for another inspirational WAGG Event. Bring a friend, then enjoy food and fellowship following Johnson’s sharing.
