Final paving will begin, weather permitting, on the Iris Street project, Monday, Nov. 10, according to Warner Engineering Associates, Inc., the engineering firm for the project.
The paving will occur from the railroad intersection north and the remainder of the project will be finished next spring.
Cole Construction is finishing the placing of modified sub-base rock. Crews from the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad and Shipley Contacting began upgrade work on the Iris Street railroad crossing today.
Shipley Contracting also will have a crew beginning setting the string line for trimming the sub-base by Wednesday.
JDM Contracting will have a crew following the paving crew beginning Nov. 10, pouring back driveways to Ceco Alaniz and the 235th Street intersection.
Warner Engineering said that dependent on the weather, it hopes to have North Iris Street finished from the railroad north and opened to traffic by the end of November.
