Warriors fall to Wapello
DANVILLE ? The Van Buren softball team was held to five hits in a season-ending, 1-0 loss to Wapello Tuesday.

Caitlyn Millard, Jordan Billups, Lydia Heald, Payten Hughes and Makenzie Zeitler all contributed with one hit apiece for the Warriors.
Van Buren starter Alicia Fitzsimmons pitched all six innings of the regional first round matchup, fanning six batters and surrendering six hits. Wapello scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning.
The Indians advance to play Danville today. The winner of that matchup will face either Cardinal or Eddyville-Blakesburg Friday in Eldon.
