WASHINGTON — The Washington County Extension Office and 4-H & Youth Committee are hosting the first “Let’s TACO-bout 4-H” night for 4-H members and parents/guardians. Mark your calendars for Thursday, Nov. 16 from 6-7:30 p.m. in the basement of Dallmeyer Hall on the fairgrounds
This meeting is designed to provide information and hands-on activities to newer members about what the 4-H year looks like, various project areas, goal setting, online resources, 4-H opportunities, upcoming events, and much more. It is open to all 4-H’ers, but will be most beneficial to those who have been 4-H three years or less. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend.
4-H staff and volunteers want to “TACO-bout 4-H” with new members and their parents/guardians.
“We recognize when the sky is the limit in 4-H, it is a lot to digest,” said Amy Green, Washington County 4-H & Youth Coordinator. “So to host this event early in the 4-H year allows us to celebrate the new 4-H’ers, start families off on the right foot and get them excited to be a part of this 4-H family. I look forward to meeting new members face-to-face and offering this fun night together as their official 4-H Signing Day!”
This is an excellent time for youth and parents to learn more about 4-H and grow together.
