Washington Co. slightly raises mileage rate

WASHINGTON — Supervisors voted unanimously on Tuesday to approve a four cent increase in mileage rates for county employees, bringing the rate up to match the federal level.

“We don’t need to make a change to the handbook or anything, but … this is just so everyone’s aware,” Deputy Auditor and Human Resources Administrator Amber Armbruster said. “I believe it will be reviewed again for Jan. 1, so we’ll take a look then, too.”

The rate will go from 58.5 cents to 62.5 cents, effective July 1, according to Armbruster.
