Washington County 4-H’ers win scholarships at fair

DES MOINES - Callie Huber of Wellman and Lauren Lukavsky of Washington received a $1,500 Alliant Energy scholarship at an Iowa Foundation for Agricultural Advancement event at the 2025 Iowa State Fair Aug. 16.
Washington County 4-H recognized the awards with a Facebook post last week, saying both exhibitors were involved in livestock shows, and were soon-to-be freshmen at Iowa State University. The organization also said Alliant Energy had sponsored IFAA winner’s circle scholarships for over two decades.
