Washington County Cattlemen Association donates to education
Jan. 18, 2022 11:20 am
The Washington County Cattlemen’s Association delivered a $1,000 check Monday to Washington County ISU Extension & Outreach.
The money will help support the Agriculture in the Classroom program in Washington County, which educates area youth about where their food, fuel and fiber come from.
ISU Extension & Outreach Washington County’s Agriculture in the Classroom outreach education is a program largely supported by donations and sponsorships from private individuals, businesses, and other community groups.
Stephanie Sexton and Julie Evans presented the check from the Washington County Cattlemen Association to Diane Rinner, Washington County Outreach Educator. Rinner thanked the Washington County Cattlemen’s Association for the gift.
“We appreciate your support and interest in educating the youth of Washington County about agriculture,” Rinner said.
Those who have a shared interest in educating youth about where their food, fuel, and fiber comes from are invited to contact Rinner at the Washington County Extension Office at 319-653-4811, to learn how to become a sponsor and “continue this valuable outreach program for our youth.”
