The Washington County Department of Public Health plans to hold several vaccine clinics in the coming weeks, where community members can receive flu shots and COVID-19 vaccines.
Interim Public Health Director Chris Estle said the shots were important this time of year.
“By receiving an annual influenza vaccine, individuals directly impact the health of the public,” she said. “Now more than ever, respiratory illness has negatively impacted large and small communities, an annual influenza vaccine is one more line of defense.”
Estle said the clinics would charge $30 for the flu shots, available by cash or check, but not credit, debit or insurance payment options. All clinics are walk-ins, with no appointments necessary.
The vaccine clinics are scheduled for the following times, dates and locations:
Washington County Public Health office, Federation Bank Building, floor 3:
- Friday, Oct. 8, 1-4 p.m.
- Friday, Oct. 29, 1-4 p.m.
- Friday, Nov. 5, 8 a.m.-noon
- Friday, Nov. 19, 8 a.m.-noon
Kalona YMCA Elements Room
- Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1-6 p.m.
