Washington County Public Health is seeking input regarding its handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Public Health Director Danielle Pettit-Majewski released a survey this week to gather information for an after-action report.
“The purpose of our after-action report is to analyze the management of and response to COVID-19,” Pettit-Majewski said. “Our goals are to identify strengths to be maintained and built upon, as well as identifying potential areas of improvement.
“It will help us update our emergency management plan.”
Pettit-Majewski put together the online survey with the county’s Emergency Management Coordinator Marissa Reisen.
Pettit-Majewski said that the number of questions depends on how the subject answers the first question.
“It depends on whether you’re a community member or a partner,” she said. “It depends on how you start the survey.”
The questions range from where people received COVID-19 information and what precautions, if any, they took to fight the spread of the virus to input on what local leadership and individuals could have done differently and how easy or difficult is it to get accurate vaccine information.
Pettit-Majewski said that the information gathering is a long-term project.
“We will gather information for a while,” she said. “We still have a long way to go, and this isn’t over.”
The survey is available in English at www.surveymonkey.com/r/WCPH_AAR21_ENG and in Spanish at www.surveymonkey.com/r/WCPH_AAR21_ESP.
