Washington County Public Health to offer take-home COVID-19 tests

With the closure of Test Iowa sites around the state effective Friday, Washington County Public Health will begin providing free take-home COVID-19 tests beginning Monday.
The test kits will be saliva sample PCR tests that people can do at home and send directly to the State Hygienic Lab.
To request a test, call Washington County Public Health at 319-653-7758.
Public Health asks that people remain in their vehicles and wear a mask while pickup up a test.
A nurse will come out to the vehicle and provide instructions on how to collect and submit samples. They will not conduct tests on site.
