WASHINGTON — A secondary roads employee in Washington County has served the local government for decades, earning a nod from officials on Tuesday.

Kent Davis hit the 40-year mark on Jan. 30, according to County Human Resources Administrator Amber Armbruster.

While Davis didn’t attend Tuesday’s Board of Supervisors meeting, the plaque presented there will be brought to him by County Engineer Jacob Thorius.

“Tell him thanks for us,” was the simple directive from Supervisor Stan Stoops.
